You Won’t Believe It

Okay, the last time we talked I was just dropping her off at her car and I could tell she was holding something back….right? I was not prepared for what happened next. We were texting later that night and she says to me “I need to tell you something and I will completely understand if you decide not to see me again”. Now my first thought was wow she wants to see me again! Because I definitely wanted to see her again. But that excitement quickly faded and began to wonder what could she possibly need to tell me. Yep, you guessed it. She was married. Now, I know what you are thinking. How could you be so shocked about that. And you are right. Except that was not what shocked me. It was an arranged marriage and not a traditional fall in love marriage. She was only married because that is the way it is in certain cultures. There is way more to it than that but you will just have to trust me. But I’m not going to go into all of the details. So….back to the story. What do I do? Do I walk away and say I don’t want to get involved. Hindsight is always 20/20 right? I have a LOT of questions now and she is very open about everything which made feel at least comfortable enough to continue talking to her. As we continued to text that night I really got the feeling that she was telling me the truth so against my better judgement I told her that I would love to see her. But maybe we should take it slow. This was a first for me and I wasn’t exactly sure how this would go. Something tells me that you are ready to find out what happens next.
